“The 100 Plants in 2026 Challenge is a gentle, year-long invitation for beginner botanists to identify and record the first 100 wild plants they discover over the course of 2026. Whether you’re completely new to botany or just starting to look more closely, this challenge is designed to help you build confidence and your skills – one plant at a time.” BSBI
The BSBI support everyone taking part with introductory webinars. These have all been recorded so you can watch them back on their YouTube channel.

To support the 100 Plant Challenge in Dorset we’ll be holding a beginners botany walk in 2027. We’ll be spending a few hours in an accessible location looking at common plants and at how to record our finds in iRecord for the challenge.
