Local Change is a longitudinal monitoring project organised by the BSBI that aims to resurvey tetrads across the whole of Britain and Ireland. By using the same methodology over time they can monitor change in our flora.
Taking part in the survey requires revisiting fixed locations to survey for wild plants. This data can then be compared with that collected over previous years. The monitoring project began in the 1980s and was repeated in the early 2000s.
Participation in VC9 will be lead by Robin Walls our Vice-County Recorder and the Flora Group will be helping to support the survey effort.
